We are looking for an experienced Sr. Online Engineer to work on our blockchain based gaming platform. As a core team member, you will help define, extend and maintain our core online systems. You’ll participate in the development of new features and work closely with gameplay engineers ensuring that our gameplay is network ready and optimized in terms of bandwidth, CPU and memory. You’ll also implement state of the art techniques to ensure a fluid online gameplay experience with increasing number of players.

What you'll be doing

• Implement online gameplay features
• Debug, profile, and optimize our current online systems
• Guide other teams to follow the best practices for our online architecture
• Follow best practices, development processes, documentation and coding standards

What we're looking for

• Degree in computer science/information technology or relevant professional experience
• 4+ years of experience in the game industry
• Experience implementing networked gameplay and dealing with bandwidth and latency issues
• Experience with the implementation and requirements of client-server architectures
• Deep understanding of online games and low-level networking
• Deep understanding of data structures and 3D math
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Able to work in a collaborative and distributed development environment with excellent time-management, organization, and communication skills

You might also have

• Experience with Unity and its new Data Oriented Technology Stack (DOTS)
• Experience with Unity’s Netcode package
• Experience working in hardware-constrained scenarios (consoles or mobile)
