The Sandbox is looking to incorporate an experienced Lead Gameplay Engineer to work on our blockchain based gaming platform.

As a lead, you will help define the gameplay roadmap, designing the architecture and implementation of new core systems. You’ll guide and mentor other engineers in your team helping them and reviewing their work.

You’ll collaborate with game designers to create new and fun gameplay experiences. Also you’ll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing existing systems in terms of memory, CPU and network bandwidth as Sandbox is a multiplayer first experience.

You’ll also will be responsible for creating long term development plans.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain gameplay systems.
• Prototype and code new gameplay features.
• Lead, mentor, and review the work of other gameplay engineers.
• Optimize and do bug-fixing of existing gameplay systems.
• Take part in the design process of the gameplay.
• Ensure that the systems are well-designed and optimal in terms of CPU and
• memory consumption.
• Create and execute long-term development plans and technical documentation.
• Follow best practices, development processes, documentation, and coding standards.
